Cradle Cap: Remediable With Time

Cradle cap does not require some special cure, it will just vanish away itself with time. The crusty and greasy scales you must be noticing over your infant’s head are only due to the excessive sebum accumulation. The cradle cap heals when the sebaceous glands starts discharging the functions properly. This skin condition occurs during the infant period of the child and is believed to be a hereditary disorder.

The affected areas of the baby suffering from cradle cap can be applied with baby oil or any other vegetable or mineral oil. Though, use of olive oil is not advised on the patches. The skull of the baby can be washed with shampooing. The scales persisting on the head can be removed with soft brush, as and when they dry. Routinely, clean the infant’s skull, as proper hygiene and softness of the skin has to be maintained during this skin condition.

Take immense care during the winters related to the temperature of the water used on the baby. The cradle cap is not a matter for great worry. All you need to do is care and seek for guidance of medical practitioner whenever necessary.
